What an emotional day! Today I said goodbye to my Year 9 and 10 GCSE classes. I knew it was going to be a tough day but I was not emotionally prepared for it... My incredible Year 9 class had made a farewell performance of snippets and highlights of our lessons from the past year! A couple of them were playing me which was just hilarious 😂 They also wrote and sang a lovely song! This was then followed by every student standing up and telling me what they would miss the most... It’s safe to say I was a sobbing mess, which then made them cry and then I cried even more! It was the most beautiful thing they could of done ❤️ I then had to try and pull myself together to say goodbye to my Year 10 class straight after... Wow do I feel lucky!! They bought me the most amazing gifts and wrote some beautiful messages 💕 I managed to hold it together thankfully! And you’ll notice a running them with the gifts too.. I’ve also had to say farewell to my A Level classes over the last week and that has been just as tough! I received such wonderful cards and gifts from them too! It’s been so utterly overwhelming the kindness and generosity they have all shown me and I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to them! I’ll stop now but heavens knows what the staff leaving bbq will be like next week 🙈
