✨ Drawn to Life made me drawn to life ✨
Recently I watched Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil and absolutely adored it! Julie is so much like me and her journey resonated with me in such a specific way, so I wanted to draw my own special something to celebrate that! In this age of AI and such, being able to watch a show that celebrates human animation of every kind is so important, and the messages I took away are so powerful- ‘it doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to exist’/‘a life of monotony is what kills creativity’/‘there is power in love of every kind’…. I could go on, but the show is amazing. I recommend everyone sees it if they’re in Disney Springs! 🥹
Golden’s outfit here is based on Julie’s, because I really resonated with her as I said, but there is one very special detail: the daisy. You might ask ‘Angie, why did you put a daisy there, there aren’t any in the show?’ And my answer is simple. Yesterday I went on the Keys of the Kingdom tour, and my tour guide told me a story that Walt himself told her, about a boy trying to give his mum the gift of daisies. He worked hard in the florist’s, she gave him seeds and he planted them, they began to bloom, but a storm came along and despite the boy trying everything he could, the flowers were destroyed. He gave what was left of them to his mother, who told him ‘it doesn’t matter that the flowers are destroyed, because the love and effort you put in is what counts.’ From Walt himself, those are some powerful words, and they pair up with this show beautifully, so I combined two wonderful memories in my design. 🥰
See ya!! 💛💛
a few outfits for Kitty !!! <333
might add more to this post at some other time !!!
..okay.. so I MIGHT have made another descendants oc.. 😶
I can't help it !!! m really fixated on descendants at the moment...
honestly I'm just surprised it's not another wicked wonderland oc lol — I wanted a 'hero' kid oc !!!
🫶🫶 I missed drawing them again lol
There’s this one remix of Burn from Fantasia Music Evolved (coincidentally uploaded to SoundCloud on my bday in 2014!) that I really associate them with 🥹
Meet Andy Honeybee, my latest Disney OC character! He is a distant cousin of Jiminy Cricket who has wings on his back and a stinger for a tail. He wears a brown fedora, a yellow turtleneck with black stripes, wears white gloves, brown jeans, and white sneakers with dark brown soles. He also has yellow skin with a brown, bulbous nose. Andy is a friendly, good-natured honeybee with the voice of Stan Freberg.
He lives in a suburban home resembling a honeybee hive and is quite protective of his honey, often defending it from bothersome bears (such as Humphrey). Outside of his interactions with Jiminy Cricket and his defense against Humphrey the Bear's mischief, Andy Honeybee is also friends with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. Disney OC fan art.
I totally feel you Harmonie...🫣
Harmonie is a shy woman in general, but being observed while drawing is really making her nervous and even clumsier than usual 😂💜
Completely inspired by @dolphydolphiana art !!
moodboard for my original descendants oc (my other one is specifically for the new descendants movies !!! :3)
