Bong.
Flower shifted in his leafy bed.
Bong.
THUD.
The little skunk opened his eyes wildly. He was asleep, and suddenly something was making a banging sound, and then a loud THUMP made the dream fade away. He realised he had jumped off his bed.
Bong.
The little skunk realised that the sound was coming from outside of his cave. He was too sleepy, and was ready to head back to his nest, but the sound kept going and going.
Bong.
"Uhhh...fiiine. Let's go see what that is before it wakes up the whole Forest." . Flower was heading for the exit, when he realised the weather was really cold. He saw the exit covered by a white, puffy looking thing. He though someone had thrown some white fabric to make fun of the skunks when they would wake up, but when he touched it, he realised that the thing was not only cold, but also solid.
Bong.
"Snow..." he muttered to himself. A huge grin appeared on his face. "But first I have to find out what causes that sound."
Bong.
"Hello?" he said, long enough for someone to hear him from outside, but quiet enough to not wake up his heavily sleeping family in the other side of their cave. Or so he thought, for he did not know if anyone could hear him from the other side of that pile of snow, or if there was anyone out there. For all he knew, the sound could've being caused by those sleepy chipmunks - they would roll around in their sleep, and some of their nuts would fall out of their treehole... That noise, though, did not sound like nuts falling from a treehole - no matter how high it would have been located.
Bong.
"Hello?" he tried once more.
