What Would Joe Do? If he was a Disney Imagineer #2
Well here is my 2nd blog and for now I'm calling this part What Would Joe Do? This is where I share my ideas if I was lucky enough to be a Disney Imagineer. So here it is.... First let me start with this, remember when flash mobs really took off? They were everywhere. Malls, church, schools, weddings, downtowns, EVERYWHERE! They were cool to see at first but got old really quick. Then all of a sudden, for one of Disneyland's birthdays they pulled off a really cool flash mob at Town Square. Later I was at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando and saw a few Country Bears getting ready for a meet & greet. The Fronterland area music got louder and louder and a few cast members jumped in and started dancing.And the Bears, and more people. It was a full out flash mob in the middle of Fronterland. Now coming back to Disneyland in CA,could something like that happen? And on a regular basis? You bet! And with something lightly used in Disney Parks, the movie Enchanted. This movie has one of the greatest musical numbers ever in a Disney movie in my opinion! That's How You Know is a great upbeat song and moment from that movie. When Giselle is singing with street performers all over Central Park. I think they should start a meet &Greet with Giselle somewhere near the entrance of Princess Fantasy Faire then after awhile she runs into a couple and starts talking. The guy seems bored or whatever. Then after awhile she starts the song just like in the movie. Makes her way towards the hub and now the music is playing loud. The longer the song goes on the more people join in singing and dancing. Popcorn vendors, balloon sellers, Disney characters, even cast members dressed as tourists. It would be part flash mob, part street party that would have its big finale in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. I think something like this would be another great live performance that Disneyland offers daily, and gives a great movie like Enchanted some recognition. But that's just me. What do you think?
