A Trip To China Sounds Nice If You Tread Lightly

What, quiet like a mouse? And blue meets yellow at sunset, yeah?

The Chinese Theatre? Which the real one is in the West, specifically Hollywood?

The Inspo Board that the writers of Stranger Things worked on is our "great movie ride"? Our "visitor's pass to famous film sets and movie scenes"? the hosts of the Great Movie Ride attraction would interact with the scenes from classic movies, acting as though they are a part of them. Could the characters from ST pull a similar trick? That seems pretty crazy...

But remember, the silver cat feeds. it consumes. we may be the consumers of products, but the silver cat is greedy and will take and take and take. which is why it becomes green--it becomes envious of the blue and yellow. there are ways to consume or appreciate media without giving them a buck. It is called community popcorn nights 😎 The Great Movie Ride opened its doors on May 1st, 1989 in Disney World's MGM Studios. It then closed it's doors on August 13th, 2017.

oh no... not figmentgate. Figment is a purple dragon (figment of your imagination). He is a fictional character created by Disney for the Disney World attraction Journey Into Imagination. He is the sidekick of the character called the Dreamfinder.

He's purple (red-Vecna + blue-Mike) and wears a yellow shirt with orange trimming. His horns and wings are also orange. Educational videos were made for public elementary schools during the 80s with figment as the host, and there are some themes that had me thinking.

His theme song for this show goes like this:

Come and join me in my travels

Through the pathways of the mind

When you use imagination

There's no telling what you'll find

I'm Figment.

I'm a dragon.

I read and learn and play.

Sounding sounds

Feeling feelings.

What a way to fill a day!

I'm a master of illusion,

Figment is a figment of the Dreamfinder's imagination, he is like an extension of his mind. Which is why he has the yellow, but also the "bad" vecna colors like orange and purple (purple rain 💀) What if Mike had a supposed "figment" that helped him get out of camazotz?

Imagination is something that belongs to all of us

So many times, we're stumbling in the dark, And then -- Eureka! -- 'what a spark!"

H-h-how are we going to use lightning?

Hmmm...

We can combine it with ghostly shivers on a stormy night

And turn it into a tale of fright!

I'll use that to paint with

Numbers, letters, papers for writing

Costumes, make-up, stages for lighting

Teardrops, laughter

What about science?

We'll need electron beams and crystal prisms

Gyroscopes and magnetisms...

Why?

The idea bag is full

It is?

Let's start making new things

Now, wait

First, we must store these ideas with the others in the Dreamport

Are we almost there?

Oh, the Dreamport is never far away when you use your imagination

Come on everybody, let's go!

We all have sparks, imaginations

That's how our minds create creations
