I've been reading such an amazing fic recently and it needs more love because it's too underrated for how utterly fabulous it is!!!

I literally LOVE the idea of a rewrite from s3 and they've done it in a way that Vecna doesn't exist and that the Cali plot never happened!! It's honestly so smart!!

And the characterisations of everybody are literally impeccable!!

Their summary:

A year and a half after the Mind Flayer possessed Will, things are about as normal as they can be. The Party just completed their freshman year, the summer is upon them, and Mike’s nightmares are only happening once every few weeks now. Things are, in all honesty, starting to look up for them. But when the Mind Flayer comes back with a new plan to take over Hawkins, they’re thrown back into the world of the Upside Down. Mike finds himself growing more desperate to keep Will safe with every new threat until his own morals start to slip away. ☆☆☆ Season 3-5 rewrite with no Vecna, no Russians, and no California. A darker take on the story with a focus on continuing the Miwi dynamic into the later seasons.

when you realize that stranger things is just basically miraculous ladybug for “adults”. Same insane plot armor, caricatures and tropes instead of actual characters, awkward writing, and undoing character development.

The only difference is adrinette actually end up together (I haven’t watched since s4 but I’ve seen clips online) and mlb actually has, ironically, better consistency given that it’s literally a kids show where all the damage is undone each episode with ladybug’s charm lol.
