Doing my reread of Nona and I love how much everyone recognizes the goodness of Camilla and Palamedes. Like it's one thing to be outside the story and be like 'holy shit these two are awesome and also try so hard to do good!' But how a wide array of very morally grey characters around them and want so badly to protect them because of how good they are. But they can't wrap them in safety. They are incredibly active agents and too competent to try to leave out. Sure Blood of Eden tries not to see it, but even Pash had to somewhat acknowledge it. Pyrrha and Corona go to such lengths for them.
In a world too complicated to be just Good, these two try. But that doesn't mean they aren't willing to get their hands dirty. I love that moment in the school when Camilla asks Pash if she shouldn't be trying to kill and Pash is just like, 'no you can kill then' lol and then they did.
I mean obviously Nona is the MOST good but she's also missing a lot of what makes her hard as Nona soooo
Just what's been floating in my brain today. La de da
