Moment of truth...
Last Thurday, my diss advisor wrote:
"I'm going to school next week and will print out your diss draft there. Give me a week or two to give you comments."
She's talking about the 100 pages I'd emailed her. So, I wrote back:
"I will come to school on Mon and leave a hard copy in your mailbox. I've done more on it, plus, I want to print parts of it in color."
Alas, I'm heading to school now to give it a final run-through, and then I will print it out and leave it for her. It's somewhere around 106 pages now, but it's also much better than when I sent it to her, since I've polished it more. There are about 10 - 15 pages with color, and the data is much easier to interpret with the color, so it's worth it for her to see it this way.
I'm so excited! I LOVE that she prefers a hard copy. I also LOVE that I have something to do today besides keep writing more. And, this means that her feedback will be coming soon...
