i just found one of my super duper early drafts of that harvey dent x nightclub singer reader fic and I double taked bc i had no recollection of naming it after a david bowie song that I don’t regularly listen to. so. yeah. ive since renamed it so i dont think ill use it but like. it really threw me for a loop

hmmmmm i might structure my harvey dent x nightclub singer!reader to follow reader over the course of seven nights at the club… a limited perspective so what’s going on outside of readers view is entirely unknown until the seventh night when everything becomes clear

finished my needle felting project! this was my most ambitious and longest project so far bc of all the different parts but im so happy with it!

so (16 hours later…) presenting Admiral Bobbery! <3

Bobbery is the final required partner in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and is a retired admiral and navigator. You have to convince him to join your journey to Keelhaul Key, but he initially refuses due to his guilt about his wife, who passed while he was out at sea. After delivering an old letter from his wife to Bobbery, he (after a good cry) agrees to help you.

The letter to Bobbery always stuck with me, as most of his story did (i cry every time), but this specific line lives in my head:

You were one with the sea as you were one with me. Do not lose both your life’s loves.

It’s just such a heartbreaking story of love and grief and it’s made such an impact on me since the very first time I played it as a kid. I love Bobbery so much, and i think it really shows how good of a game the Thousand Year Door is.

As for the actual project lol, i started with a sphere for the body and then added on some ovals for the feet. Then i tried to do the hat shape and the brim separately, which was a bit difficult to add on (especially the color and design lol). The eyes didn’t take too long but i spent a solid day on the mustache, trying to get the right shape and lift on it. Finally, i ended with the ship wheel, and every single part of it was separately made and then connected. Although very time consuming and frustrating, I think it turned it beautifully :)

the fact that they chose to give into the CN fan base and entirely remove valko is bullshit but tHE FACT THAT THERE WONT BE ANY NEW LOVE INTERESTS AFTER THAT??? they’re abandoning this game i swear it’s already boring now and you’re just going to keep it that way instead of being like wow, only one demographic doesn’t like this new love interest, let’s add him anyway bc everyone has different tastes! and then adding something new and fresh!!
