“It’s completely asinine.” Soundwave wasn’t totally against the arrangement, but he didn’t like it much, either. “The whole plan that this will ‘ease post-war tension’ is ridiculous. At most, Optimus is going to use us as an example, for show, regardless of whether we want to play his game or not.”
At least, if Optimus was going to force a marriage between an Autobot and a Decepticon, he’d paired the two of them well enough - Soundwave didn’t hate Hot Rod and the other mech didn’t seem to hate him. “Suppose he could’ve chosen a worse couple to marry off.”
Hot Rod found this whole arrangement kind of weird . And a bit . . . archaic , to be honest . But if he had to marry any of the cons , Soundwave definitely wasn’t the worst one . They had worked well together when fighting off the Quintessons anyway , so maybe this wouldn’t be so bad .
“ Yeah , there are worse mecha you coulda’ been betrothed to , ” Hot Rod shrugged . And the same goes for him . All in all , it wasn’t a bad match . “ Still , kinda weird that Optimus is doin’ this . I don’t even know if it will work . ”
