Umbrella Country
I met you in another country, This land was wonderful but It was time to leave I left And all horizons were my covers Every night and sleep Was a dream of every day before Of dissolving webs every morning And then I met you -You long forgotten from any Place that had been drowned deep Inside of you, and I brought you an Umbrella, but you never heard Of umbrellas, I’ve been teaching You but you may never want To understand. You teach me How to forget an umbrella ever was But is a means for decoration or a boat Or a means to fly, that an umbrella Looks better inside out when the wind Is angry or wishes to amuse himself.
