The first beams of light flicker over the horizon / We'll soon see the fruits of this uncanny Earth
the light is ever so distant
maybe i do have a halo somewhere
thousands of feet over my head
a halo so luminous
it blinds the plane pilots
maybe i’m good
in a murderous way
maybe a fire burns within me
maybe i’m a lighthouse
in the middle of the pacific
a lighthouse that misguides the ships
maybe i give them hope
that the eternity of perilous seas
with endless waves haunted by the moonlight
has finally come to an end
maybe i’m a firefly that turns into a flea when caught in a jar
maybe there is good in me
corrupted good
a twisted comfort for the lost soul
looking to escape the shadows
of a world full of evils
the distant lights in her eyes were a beacon on nights I long ago would've spent alone.
