Distant Waves by Suzanne Weyn
Looking for a historical fiction novel about science fiction that’s surprisingly non-fictional, the paranormal, and the USS Titanic; with real life characters such as author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Ehrich Weiss (better known as Harry Houdini), journalist William Thomas Stead, Mrs. Maggie Brown (better known as The Unsinkable Molly Brown), and infamous inventor Nikola Tesla? Well look no further.
I discovered this little gem back in my Junior year at a book fair. After getting just a few chapters in, I knew I'd struck gold - literary gold that is.
One time I drew fanart for my favorite book but not many people like that book so I'm pretty sure it's the only existing fanart for that book
I didn't realize how much of a history crush I have on Tesla until I started rereading Distant Waves
Distant Waves (Suzanne Weyn)

The destinies of five sisters all converge on board the Titanic.
Daughters of a famed clairvoyant, the five Taylor sisters have moved to turn-of-the-twentieth-century Spirit Vale, where their mother makes a living talking to the dead. The future, however, is something even she cannot see clearly.
The sisters are not meant to stay in Spirit Vale for long. All seem poised to move in different directions--science, society, fame, even the spirit world--but all of their destinies converge on board the Titanic. A transatlantic voyage that promises great wonders soon turns into a fight for survival that not everyone will win ... or can they?

Favorite Quote: "Maybe all the events of the last few months had occurred for for just one reason--to bring Thad and me together. Perhaps our being here on the Titanic wasn't pre-destination, but rather, destiny."
