the divine dogs circle his legs, thrumming with energy. they snuffle at the ground, circling bushes and trees as they walk around the school campus. he's only maybe hiding from gojo. again.

it shouldn't be much further now - there's a nook in one of the trees that's perfect for folding himself into. just as he's about to take cover, he spots movement through the trees. peeking through--

"okkotsu-kun?" megumi's head tilts at the same time as the divine dogs - not that he notices.

"what are you doing out here..?" it's the first time he's seen anyone this deep in the woods around the campus. at least of the students, okkotsu is the only one he doesn't mind running into while seeking some peace.

            shouko didn’t think of herself as a teacher  ,  rarely having a thought of standing before a crowd of students and teaching them  .  she’s a doctor  ,  not a teacher  ,  even if people referred to her as sensei  ,  she didn’t feel suited to be a teaching figure  .  she preferred her quiet space in her office  ;  only interacting with people that dropped by for treatment  .             however  ,  that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t lend advice or assist if students sought her out  .  yuuta’s reason for seeking her out had caught her off guard  ,  not expecting the male to ask her for help in perfecting the technique that she’s practiced all her life  .  albeit surprised  ,  shouko easily agrees  ;  it’d be a great contribution if there were more practitioners of reversing curse techniques . . . it’d take some of the strain off of her should another crisis happen  .             seated on the bench on the side  ,  she watches yuuta practice quietly  ;  eyes taking in his motions and actions  ,  trying to discern his thought process  .  “  think of it as undoing a knot  ,  ”  shouko calls  ,  “  think of curses being a binding rope around a person  ,  reversing it is like undoing that knot that holds the curse together   ,  ”  she instructs  .

yuji's brows wrinkled in his unconscious state. he didn't remember how he got here, but he was sure here wasn't where they were last. the pink haired boy sat up so abruptly, he gave himself a light head as he placed his hand against his head and looked around the dark. there was a moment of thought, and then he remembered. he jabbed a finger towards him, " you killed me! ⠀ ❜⠀

yuuta's rather calm reply and smile did very little to calm the nerves of the boy in front of him. instead, it just made the pink haired boy more suspicious for only a second. he noted that yuuta held no weapon, and they seemed to be well off the path.

⠀ ❛ ⠀ i'm not going to hurt you, i came here to help ⠀ ❜⠀yuuta's voice broke through and brown hues just blinked. this himbo couldn't really align the words with actions, so he just looked at yuuta again.

⠀ ❛ ⠀ okay but you killed me once already, so i'm not sure if i should believe that. ⠀ ❜⠀ he spoke casually yet eyeing him. ⠀ ❛ ⠀ wait- how am I alive? did sukuna? oh shi-⠀ ❜⠀ he cut himself off. it was then the weight of everything that had happened, and he could only think that sukuna had caused more problems when yuuta had killed him. after all, yuji didn't remember much from death.

" good! you're awake. i was beginning to worry... " (for maki!)

a groan rumbles through maki's chest as she slowly blinks away. it's too damn bright. it hurts her eyes, makes her head spin.

"what the hell..." she mumbles, throwing an arm over her eyes to hopefully calm some of the sharp pain. however in the process she discovers her entire body is sore. her muscles are screaming, and it feels like she's bruised over almost every inch of her skin.

"did i get hit by a truck or something?" maki finally asks, peeking out at yuuta from under her arm. seeing his face does, at the very least, wash a little calm over her. she can trust him, it's okay to be vulnerable like this. "i don't remember shit." she admits, shifting with a low moan of pain to sit up. immediately, she buries her face in her knees, willing her head to stop spinning.

"was it... a special grade?" that's the only thing that makes sense. she has too much of her flesh intact and bones in one piece for her to have actually been hit by a truck. "god, how long have i even been out?"

still, she reaches an arm out blindly to pat at whatever part of yuuta is in reach. "thanks for sticking with me." there's a softness to her voice, a tone reserved only for him, and maybe inumaki on a good day. maybe.

‘ We did bring the sunscreen… right? ’

"Aw, Yuuta! All these curses and you're scared of a little sun?"

Any other time and it would have been a coin-flip to determine the amorphous probability of Satoru being- heavens forbid, responsible for once. Much of the time, his success in the field was more attributable to luck, rather than any conscious effort on his part to make any decisions befitting a proper adult. Thankfully, his last foray onto the sunny seaside had left him with sunburns to last a lifetime. He’d been peeling and aching for hours, likely days if his reverse cursed technique hadn’t kicked in to save the day.

He reached into his massive canvas tote and located the bottle, tossing it into the air with an exclamation of ‘hup!’. Catching it in his palm, he snapped the plastic lid open and held it out expectantly, shaking it up and down. 

He scratched his head, eyes wandering to the dense thicket that bordered the shoreline. 

“You know, now that I think of it, we might have forgotten the bug-spray.”

Ah, he’d yet to reach the limit on the practical uses of Infinity. On the other hand, poor Yuuta might be due some problems soon.
