fossil_librarian Here’s a closer look at one of the specimens that’s part of the loan return I’m working on. These were sent to us by a researcher in Germany for examination. They were collected from the Upper Triassic Nayband Formation of Central Iran. This is a specimen of “Distichophyllia” a large solitary coral that was cut into 3 pieces for a closer look at the internal structures. ⚒
