Would you be okay taking on making flags for Gender-Distinct, distincine, and distingender? Also finalized the definition so you could possibly take inspo from it? If you wanted to do them of course no pressure, I’m more than happy just getting your feedback. Thank you in general and thank you also if you do them!

Gender-Distinction/Gender Distinct: A OUINgender label/term for those who experiences gender in a way that feels distinguishable, recognizable and otherwise distinctly as one’s own gender/s. This is include those whose gender(s) are/can be unambiguous, defined and/or overall may have a strong, firm and specific sense of gender (and thus may identify as/with genders like aporagender and maverique for example).

Gender quality is: Distincine

Distingender: Are for those who are gender distinct even when/if identifying as/with other gender/s. “Distin” derives from distinct and also can be alternatively called “dissim”(gender) (from dissimilar) if one wishes.

Gender(-)distinction and related terms are/can be outherine in nature especially if one’s (gender/quality) experience(s) include autonine, autonomine/iquine, and even yonderine in nature qualities and gender(s) but one doesn’t necessarily have to be outherine &/or any of these qualities to be Gender Distinct.

I think we might be seeing this in two different ways. /nm

You see gender distinction as distinct from masculine, feminine, neutral, and androgynous and unique to oneself (which would make them ipsine genders.) But I was seeing it as clear, unambiguous gendered traits or markers (so, a clearly distiguishable gender quality that is not ambiguous, vague, androgynous, or neutral, and doesn't experience overlapping or absence.) That's why aporagender and maverique can fall within distincinity, because of the "strong and specific gendered feeling."

I did make some flags though:

The left one is distincine and the right one is distingender. The colors were chosen because they feel like they represent both clarity (yellow and white) and groundedness (black and blue.) The purple just looked good with it.

Dissimilar Gender or Gender Dissimilar: A gender distinct experience that is defined specifically by dissimilarity. This term can still include those who are unambiguous and have a defined sense of gendered certainty but it’s especially for those who experiences a firm sense of differentiation within one’s own gender(s). This can include those who are outherine, distincine, autonine, autonomine/iquine, yonderine and frankly any gender(s)/qualities that may be dissimiline in nature but one doesn’t necessarily have to be any of these to be Gender Dissimilar. Quality term is Dissimiline and for those who are gender dissimilar even when identifying as/with other gender/s could call oneself dissimgender.

You were right, I was basically trying to put two (slightly??) differing definitions into one term without realizing it and the singular definition kind of clash with each other because it🙂‍↕️🙏🏾. See, my experience with gender distinction (and specifically gender dissimilarity) is when distinct means dissimilar as well as meaning the definition for gender distinction you gave me in a previous ask but the dissimilar aspect is the most important aspect of my gender distinction and gender experience and see them as one of the same. But I do think it could have been defined better either way, and still wanting to get what I want my solution is to separating the two.

Gender Distinct will still be defined as experiencing your own gender/s in a defined, clear and distinct way. It would include any genders and qualities that are defined, unambiguous and have a strong and firm sense of gendered certainty and clarity (like genders/qualities such as maverine/maverique and aporine/aporagender for example). Quality and gender (distincine and distingender) are still the same but hopefully more clear.

But Gender Dissimilar would be what I was trying to get at in the first place: a specific experience with gender distinction/distincinity that can exist but certainly is not all there is to it. So thank you for pointing that out, I hadn’t realize it was giving mixed definitions until then (sorry if you pointed that out before I sometimes struggle with understanding things so😭😅) I also really love the flags you made beautiful as always, so thank you very much. I'm just happy to help! You don't have to apologize. This is the fun part, getting to workshop a definition and finally get it exactly where you need it to be. I like these concepts a lot and I think they'd be very helpful for people.

How is this definition to you:

This can include those who experience autonininty, autonomininity/iquininity, and even yonderinity(??) within their gender experiences but one doesn’t necessarily have to be any of these to be Gender Distinct. The Quality version would be called Distincine.

And for those who are gender distinct even when/if identifying as/with other gender/s would be called dissimgender (from dissimilar) or distingender (from distinct) if one wants to be more specific with their gender distinction.

This sounds okay to me, though I would personally also include unamingenders (genders that are unambiguous-in-nature) and dingenders (genders that are defined-in-nature; the opposite of uingenders.) Many aporine genders might be included as well (because "strong and specific gendered feeling" sounds like something distinct to me.)

Otherwise, I like it. I like the terms distincine and distingender. I think this could be a very useful concept.
