please bare in mind there may be some of my own speculation and saltiness throughout

we start this tale at the beginning. music works had failed to realise that their newly debuted 7 member boy group MYTEEN hadnt achieved the immediate success after their debut that the company had wanted due to their own incompetance and poor promotion. to boost the group’s popularity, 4 members were sent onto survival show mixnine (ya know, instead of putting them on variety shows as a group etc). 3 of the boys passed the audition, 2 were eliminated throughout the show and kookheon made it to the final. this is all redundant cos mixnine was a pile of shit

the following july (mixnine was in october 2017), myteen had a comeback and again, no overnight success (because that doesnt fucking happen with groups from small companies or groups that dont have a previously well known member) and in december taevin left the group

a few more months pass and music works is still completely baffled as to why their group that they are doing nothing for in any way hasnt blown up, so they send kookheon on his second survival show in as many years, along with yuvin this time. you may have heard of it, it was called producing one hundred and one x. no, produce x 101 my bad. now, no company sends already debuted idols onto pd for free. these idols are told to do well or face the consequences. the consequences being disbandment of their group. we know this because nu’est straight up said that pledis told them to get at least one member into wanna one or they’d all be sent to do their military service

there is absolutely no way on earth anyone will ever convince me that kookheon was that distraught over yuvin’s mic incident during lullaby purely because he was upset for his friend. no. they’d been told to do well or else. i will also draw your attention to how hard kookheon cried when he came 21st when the cut off was 20. think about it

okay, so these poor boys were probably told to do well or else in front of the other myteen members which means there is immense pressure on them. even more than there already was cos its not just kookheon and yuvin’s careers on the line now, its 4 other boys’ careers too. cut to the pdx final, kookheon’s already out and yuvin doesnt officially get in (we all know pdx was rigged and leaked real results showed that yuvin did get in but we’ll never know for sure who did and who did not get in). 2 weeks later myteen celebrate their 2nd anniversary and everything looks exciting for the future. the members all open up personal instagram accounts (which was kind of a clue to what was about to happen considering they were still a new group), all follow each other and taevin who had previously left and already had a personal instagram account

a month later eunsu announces on his personal account that myteen have been disbanded. not the group account, not the music works account, not even a statement from music works. no, one of the members announced it. a while later music works finally releases a statement. one member (hanseul) immediately unfollowed both kookheon and yuvin while the other’s didnt. hanseul posted some really salty shit and then vanished. the others all interacted for a while but it didnt really last long

a few of the members then went off to become actors under other companies and such while it was announced that kookheon and yuvin (who stayed at music works) would be releasing a digital single a couple of days before x1′s big debut which in itself was sabotage cos nobody paid any attention to anyone other than x1 from the moment the final was finished until... well... you know... anyway, on the day of blurry’s release, photos of yuvin kissing his ex-girlfriend kim sohee (from pd101 s1 and now member of nature) were leaked to the media. these were personal photos that wouldnt have just been out there and i will bet both my kidneys that it was the mysteriously missing hanseul that leaked them but thats just my theory and not a fact (he was being a salty bitch, can you blame me for thinking it was him?). either way, the photos were leaked to cause a scandal. yuvin confirmed on tv with the wonderful baek z young by his side that he knows who leaked the photos

and then we come to present day, kookheon and yuvin are now known as b.o.y (dont get me started on this fucking stupid name...), some members are acting, one member is a dancer, hanseul still hasnt been seen, none of them interact with yuvin and kookheon and music works are the biggest, steamingist pile of rotten shit to ever exist
