turn out the lights by cult choir @ the seed in lancaster~

song is so fucking good, can't wait for the recording. shane is great. constantly putting out new material and upping his live performance game. he's come such a long way from acoustic in the backyard giving out free beers to people who clap. oh and that voice. damn. i thought it fitting i take a video of him since he's been filming everyone else for communion. if you haven't peeped that channel i'd highly recommend it, he has videos of frankie cosmos, alex g, free cake for every creature, mumblr, etc 4ever.

a handful of pictures from the comp lp ~seems like there's a show every night~ release show at quips, though i was exhausted it went really well. it was awesome to see everybody and it was a whole lot of fun. i had to laugh when my performance followed symptoms, probably the heaviest band on the comp. greg put a chair in the middle of the crowd for me and my friends lined up on either side at bar stools and benches and i opened with the song from the comp and everybody sang along. it was pretty magical. i think it's the best i've played yet, probably because i was surrounded by people i care about. reservoir had a ghost ruin their set and brandon spent it getting shocked, holding the guitar cable into place in a loose input. many kick pedals were broken throughout the show and drum tech matt was on top of it. chalmers killed it despite josh's bass falling off of him throughout, i was elated. it was awesome to see it all come together. there are some really rad folks in lancaster.

big news: dit lancaster levels up w/ a sweet lp

so now that i have 26 LPs in my hands, i realize i totally didn't think critically about how the hell to decorate 26 blank jackets. thinkin common title design and random everything else. heh. crafternoon @ my place soon?

but i digress, who has an interest in buying a compilation of lancaster-area bands (including myself lol) called "seems like there's a show every night" made possible by greg/chumpire fanzine~ $10 locally, a few more to ship, vinyl comes with a zine nd a sticker of a turtle i drew. every band on the comp got a stack to decorate to their hearts content so they'll all be different~ other bands on the comp include: chalmers, constrictor, french in van, zurdo, cult choir, dipshit, a band named craig, reservoir, symptoms, placeholder & row. an LP release show is in the works!

once i'm done decorating, which could take a while, i'll hit up interested parties, consider this a poor man's pre-order~
