the waves carry us || daisuke&sachi
On any given day, the early morning was like a haven to Daisuke. He would wake with the sun rising up on the horizon where a myriad of colors chased one another across the sky. The soft morning breeze skidding across his skin would calm him as he ate his warm breakfast with the windows open. The promising quiet of his workplace would energize him for the rest of the day.
Today, however, was not one of those days.
Daisuke's first order of business for the day was to deliver a message to one of the member's of the Fourth Division, and usually the Fourth was just as serene as the early mornings he woke to, and he never had qualms about going there. Usually.
Today when he stepped inside the office, he found everything except for the serenity he was looking to share. There were seated and unseated officers alike scurrying about quietly, but that wasn't what struck him as odd. That was normal. The sheer number of them awake and working at this hour was astounding.
The sound of a crash pulled him out of his confused thoughts, and looked over towards the sound's origin. A young officer was sprinting out of the room and away from... a loud, obnoxious, obvious member of the Eleventh. Of course.
The man ran after the officer, waving his arms frantically and spewing obscenities this way and that. Daisuke rolled his eyes. How tasteful. Not wanting to deal with such morons so early in the morning, he turned, trying to gauge where the officer he was looking for was.
And then the big brute ran into him. Well, it was more like he shoved him as he ran past him, but either way, Daisuke made himself breathe. There was no point in ruining his morning over something so trivial.
Until it happened again. And again.
How many Eleventh Division members were receiving service in the Fourth anyway!? Daisuke turned around, hoping to be able to at least move out of the way if any more were headed in his direction. But when he turned around, the hallway seemed deserted. He rolled his eyes, turning back around to focus on the task at hand...
When he bumped into someone else. Lovely.
"Would you people look where you're --" Catching sight of the latest culprit, he stopped midway, his mouth hanging open in embarrassment. The girl before him was far too cute to be in the Eleventh. "...I... I... "
"EXCUSE ME," he all but shouted as he bowed far too low for it to be normal. He hoped she didn't see the blush that was quickly taking over his face.
