@divine-righteousness for that good good ship building
Standing before the entryway, with nothing visible within, it was easy to imagine just walking away, leaving this particular avenue behind. Probably safer as well. The longer they were around each other, the longer Kalista was separate from the Mists, and the angrier it would become. There was no route forward that wasn’t a risk, so it seemed like any progress would be the best way to go. Eventually, she turned her head to the Aspect, nodding. “For better or worse, answers lie within. We shall find them.”
She placed her hand out, walking to the darkness. Her outstretched hand came into contact with the darkness, resisted as though it was some kind of membrane. It didn’t deter the specter, she stepped forward, pushing harder until the darkness began to crackle, begrudgingly allowing her to pass. It was painful, the energy threatening to rip her apart, but she refused to allow it, gritting her teeth and forcing her way through, disappearing into an unlit tunnel beyond.
