Advanced Open water diver, Bali In the midtermbreak of the semester some guys of our group did go to Bali for vacation. For me it was the best opportunity to make my long desired next diving course, the Advanced Open water diver. I arranged the course in advance, so the diving Center, called scubadubadoo;), picked me up at 7am after our nightly arriving in Bali. They took me to the North coast for 2 days. Therefore we had to drive about 3 hours through the mountainous humid tropics. As you can see on the pictures I saw a lot of the typical rice cultivations. The diving course itself consisted of 5 dives, where I should improve the following skills: The underwaternavigation with a compass, the nightdiving with pocket lamps, the deep diving (I'm now allowed to go to the dephts of 40 metres!), wreckdiving and finally the underwaterphotography. The last one of the instructions was my favourite one. I got a very good camera, including 2 macroobjectives and 2 lightnings (picture). It was very difficult to get all the settings done manually underwater, while diving during currents, which hitting you away from the object of interest. Sometimes it took me 15-20 minutes to get a good shot of one animal. But i loved it! The seaworld is so colourful and bares so much beauty! I think i have to start to save money now for a real professional underwatercamera, because it is really worth it!
