This machine, impossibly complicated and stronger than any human could ever be is now staring at you. You are staring at it. You don't see an individual or any defining features but you see *yourself*—it has no identity aside from those who have created it. And I realize now that when we play God we face the same consequences as God—we stare our creation in the face and only see ourselves in it
