-> The Myrmidon
"A strange slugcat and blind follower, the Myrmidon, is tasked with yet another gruelling challenge."
• Purposed organism made by Blossoming Strelitzia Fields. Canonically named "Buddy." It's original purpose was to keep BSF company and do mundane tasks and fetch quests upon the iterator's request.
• A rather peculiar mix of slugcat, lizard and centipede. While it's mind is more so that of a slugcat, it has the ability to climb and scale walls easily thanks to it's lizard traits. It's body is covered in plates and spines. It has sharp teeth. Myrmidon also has three limbs resembling centipede legs. These don't exactly work like typical legs and are more similar to prolegs, aiding Myrmidon with stability rather than any real mobility.
• Has a tendency to bite.
• Avoids sporepuffs like the plague. Having one thrown at it will stun and daze it, but not kill it.
• Doesn't like water -> struggles with swimming and is more prone to flailing around instead.
• After the accident(tm), it is sent out by BSF to take care of it all.
-> Blossoming Strelitzia Fields
A good-intentioned, but stubborn and painfully naive iterator, who does more harm than he at first realises.
• "BSF" or "Strelitzia" for short.
• Finds the Big Problem to be stupid -> he doesn't quite understand the want for ascension. He is very optimistic and prefers to look for a reason to enjoy existence rather than try to escape it.
• It leads to him toying around with the local flora and fauna of a region eventually known as "Overrun Allotment" (OA). He takes the already existing creatures and mixes n mashes them as he sees fit, creating weird if not downright monstrous beings. This leads to Myrmidon's creation among other things. While this is an act of curiosity without any sort of malicious thought behind it, Strelitzia didn't consider the consequences it all may have.
• Upon receiving backlash from his fellow iterators (and LFOC especially), he stubbornly turns off his communications, thinking they're all just misunderstanding or far too biased in their opinion on the Big Problem. He thinks that they're judging him and his decisions far too harshly.
• At one point, the gates to OA break down and his beasts are set loose into the surrounding regions. The untampered ecosystem can hardly combat the sudden swarm of invasive species and so, despite his own worry and fear, he sends out Myrmidon on it's biggest task yet; find a way to fix the gates and either herd back or kill all escapees.
• Before disaster struck (and after it's been dealt with) he's tried his hand at plenty of things -> he's tried gardening, though that didn't exactly go over well with the lack of natural light within his chamber. He also likes to draw onto the walls of his chamber using fruit brought to him by the Myrmidon.
-> Lost Flock of Crows
Hard-headed, argumentative, cold, if not sometimes downright mean iterator.
• "LFOC" or "Crows" for short.
• Strelitzia's "neighbor" and ex-friend.
• The two used to get along at one point, but he's quickly grown irritated with BSF after the latter decided to meddle with the ecosystem. It led to him finding BSF childish and insufferable, specifically after he's tried to talk some sense into the other iterator. He is the most vocal when it comes to the criticism of BSF's actions, going as far as contacting other iterators and asking for their opinions of Strelitzia's experiments, compiling them and forwarding them to the guy himself.
• Is somewhat of a bully with the way he enjoys gossiping and talking about everything and anything going down with his little friend group. Very talkative, even if his conversation topics aren't always all nice and fun.
• He is visited by Myrmidon during the beastie's quest and is indifferent towards it. He finds it repulsive due to it's nature and who it belongs to, but he isn't hostile towards it. In fact, he warms up to it eventually.
-> Some other art and funny doodles :)
(last two doodles are older and have slightly outdated designs)
Bill Cipher showing us how he's very mature about his breakup and isn't bothered at all!
I can't believe I made this, but at the same time, it's been ages since I laughed so much about a scene from the book. Bill is so pathetic, I adore him! And that entire passage seemed to be straight out of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" which is a book I devoured in high school.
I can't draw people in Gravity Falls style for the life of me, so I'm sorry that you have to be exposed to my shitty art style!
