Holiday problem - I like my in-laws, but they have way too much family drama

So....I won't be seeing my father this Christmas....?

I normally spend half of Christmas day at my grandmother's house with my mother and her side of the family, then my brothers and I head to our dad's house to see his side. But we're staying at home this Christmas....home is about 2.5 hours from my dad's house....I'm just really upset but this information

I'm getting things squared away with my bank finally. (Yay.) My ex husband put me in a lot of debt and I was feeling so suffocated by it that a few times in the last 4 years I wanted to end my life so I wouldn't have to deal with it (or my unhappiness) anymore. I woke up and sought help with a therapist and realized ending my life doesn't solve problems, it just causes more problems for more people. So now that I'm finally working again and my husband isn't lying to me about making payments (or taking cash advances) I can start slowly paying off my debt. The guy on the phone was so sympathetic, saying to get on his ass about it, that time heals all things, that he's glad I have family to fall back on and help me get back on my feet. He eased my stress and confusion and helped me create a payment plan just to help get me out of the red, after which I'll be able to make as many or a few payments as possible. (He was glad, though, to hear that I wanted to get this shit paid off as fast as I possibly can.)

So I'm going to be making some sacrifices until I can get a second job or get a huge chunk paid off. I will get a cell phone (because my boss and coworkers need to be able to get a hold of me, also for safety reasons, and also because fuck all you naysayers, I deserve to have one new phone). I will set aside money every month for my dog's food and for my own food, and for public transportation. But besides that, all my money has to go towards my debt or else I won't be able to rest easy. You have no idea how badly I was this debt gone. It's not that there's even that much compared to most people I know. But it's holding me back and will keep me from getting my own place and from buying a car when the time comes. I need to fix this. I want to fix this.

I'm hoping I can get a second job as a waitress at the local wing joint across the street from my neighbourhood and work that at least on the weekends so that I can not only earn a second (much smaller) income, but pocket the tips so I can buy new clothes and things like that. If I can do this, I can pay off my debt this year. And that would be fucking fantastic.
