The Alexander Wedding • #WildCardWedneday (#LatePost) • For my last post of the month I’m going to switch it up a little. This past weekend I had the pleasure of being a part of the #wedding for two of my good friends - Sarah & Ben - & I’d like to talk about that experience. • I’ll start with the venue, #AldridgeGardens - which is less a #garden, & more a small forest encircling a lake. Of the weddings I’ve been too - the last of which was over a decade ago - this would have to be one of the most beautiful. A lover of nature, I couldn’t help but explore the grounds during moments of downtime & the two couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate their big day. • The ceremony itself - which would have been outside had it not been for a bout of rain - was overfilled as all of their loved ones huddled inside to witness their union. Not knowing the couple for long, I wasn’t aware just how many people would be at their wedding - it was interesting seeing how many people showed up; from friends, to family, to coworkers, & even old teachers - they all wanted to be there to celebrate with them. As a groomsman I had the pleasure of looking out at the sea of faces in attendance - I could see everyone in attendance watch in awe as the two professed their undying #love for one another, promising themselves to each other forevermore. • The reception was also a lot of fun. The food was good, the music was bumping, & the atmosphere was filled with the type of love & fun I hope the couple will experience for the rest of their lives together. Also, I’m always going to remember Ben breaking out in dance to the rhythm of #DixieLandDelight • So, even with a few snafus - the rain, a stained dress, & a DJ who had trouble following directions - they still managed to have a beautiful ceremony; but even more importantly, they were able to have a wonderful day with each other & those they love. • All in all, this was an amazing ceremony that I was very glad to be a part of. Cheers to Sarah & Ben on their #nuptials, & to spending the rest of their lives together. I really do wish them a world of happiness! #AlwaysAlexander • And now back to your regularly scheduled feed!
