DIY Chevron Throw
DIY provided by Living Well Spending Less
I don't know about you but theres just something about cuddling up on the couch watching your favorite TV show with a comfy blanket, and what's better than that? Making that comfy blanket. This is really simple and honestly you could hand sew this if you don't have a sewing machine, although it would take quite a bit of time. I plan to make a trip the the fabric store tomorrow so I can get my hands on one of these blankets! Happy crafting!
Supplies
1-2 yards of soft fabric
2-2 yards of chevron fabric
3-Scissors
4-Stick Pins
5-Thread
6-Sewing Machine
Directions:
Step 1: Lay out minky fabric, soft side up, on large flat surface or floor.Spread out chevron fabric overtop of minky fabric, right side down. Line up fabric against corner and 2 straight edges.
Step 2: Trim excess fabric so that the two pieces are the same size.
Step 3: Carefully pin fabric together all the way around.
Step 4: Carefully sew along all four edges with a one inch margin, leaving a 12 inch opening along one side.
Step 5: Turn throw right-side out through opening.
Step 6: Pin opening closed and sew along all four sides, leaving a 1/2″ margin.
