I have been upping my crochet ante this quarantine season! . I just finished my first ever cardigan! It’s a blanket cardigan so it is very big and drape-y and will be perfect for fall nights. I found a pattern on Pinterest and then altered it because.... I can’t follow directions 😂😂 I used the Suzette stitch and a half double crochet stitch! The yarn is Red Heart in Café Latte! ❤️ . I have also finished a blanket I started years ago and made two others! DIY Inspiration + Mini How To // Ribbed Sweater Cut-Out Shoulder Crop Top

Old Sweater + Fabric Shears + Sewing or Serger/Overlock Machine

Put on sweater & mark where you want the shoulders cut out + where you want it cropped. If you want to fold the bottom up like above, leave about 1.5-2″ more to bottom hem. Lay sweater flat, fold in half shoulder to shoulder, cut out half circle a little smaller than you want & cut off bottom hem. Now you can leave these edges raw (not recommended) or you can sew w/zig-zag sticth or serge them.
