in the monster high books dj finds out about jackson in the second book because apparently no one told him. however, he was present in the last scene of the first book where melody explains the whole jekyll and hyde thing to frankie. it's probably a writing inconsistency because lisi harrison monster high book series but I like to imagine he was so insanely invested in frankies pet rats that he completely blanked out what the girls were talking about. this is part of my jackson and holt/dj audhd agenda because jackson is also kind of completely devoid of an attention span at times but I think dj's very limited existence contributes to his total confusion at all times
