I like to think that after retiring as a DJ, Maxx founded his own record label (which signed Cadence and the Penguin Band) and that when he retired years later, he passed that position on to Cadence, all of this taking place in the future AU that I have in my little mind,,

I really like to think about the relationship between Maxx and Cadence. I feel that at first Maxx wouldn't like her very much (he hated her LMAOO) because he felt replaced, but after spending time together, he grows very fond of her and they become quite close, to the point that Maxx confides several important things about the label to her, so, he makes her his successor,

Cadence, on the other hand, accepted almost out of obligation (as well as it being a good excuse after the Penguin Band broke up). She likes and loves the idea of helping young talent get into the music industry, although sometimes she feels like she doesn't know exactly what she's doing and is a bit lonely. I guess it can be nostalgic, but that's okay, she's handling it well.
