-> A Little Louder Please (Deluxe) by Rose Gray
After 2024's 'brat summer', a 'global phenomenon' caused by Charli XCX's 6th studio album, everyone's been waiting for someone like her to appear and turn the world upside down again. Well, Rose Gray is here for the girls who like to remember the party after waking up the next morning. Keeping it fun while the beats and lyrics are less chaotic and insane than on 'brat.'
'A Little Louder, Please (Deluxe)' shows the storm that is coming in the future. One you should look out for because Rose Gray is only just starting to take over the world of dance-pop. Adding an extra song, 'I Don't Speak French', to her already succeeded album, alongside a number of remixes from the already released songs, was like adding the cherry on top of an already delicious cream pie. And I'm definitely not saying that because it was my favourite song on the whole album.
What seemed repetitive after 4/5 of the album gets loosened up through the bonus song. A new melody, changes of rhythm and thematic dilemma that urges you to dance through the guilt of infidelity.
'A Little Louder Please (Deluxe)' is charged with hyper-dance pop and mascara running down her eyes. The tears that could be mistaken for sweat dripping down by her feet while and all that while the spotlight is on her and she feels the music like never before. It's raw and honest and ends with the biggest blow that will make you impatient for what's to come next from Rose Gray.
I just finished "Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil" and I am devastated. Very devastated. This was such an amazing book, from start to finish. I loved the alternating POVs, the writing style, just everything. And the ending... I was gutted by how it all turned out. I have so many thoughts and feelings about it. I feel lost since finishing it. I want to get ahold of "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" next. But damn, I really loved this book.
