Can animals read the body language of other species? My dog (one year old Chihuahua) seems to understand that one of my cats (aged tuxedo ASH, loves humans but not dogs) Does Not Want to interact with her but actively seeks affection/grooming/playtime with my other cat who is much more tolerant/wants to interact. Can they be interspecies best buddies? Or is that a little too anthropomorphic?

It really depends on the species and the experiences of the individual animals. Dogs and cats definitely learn to read each other’s body language when they cohabitate, but they’re both social mammals and they’re not super removed from each other in an evolutionary sense. Birds and dogs, though, probably not as well - both social species, but with different morphology - and I’d say definitely not between a housecat and a lobster (to pick an absurd and extreme example).

Now that I deliver pizzas I can tell you that it’s mostly the fault of how fast the pizzas get made. But also newbies that don’t know their way around (like me). Hope they get it to you soon!

Oops! Just saw your reply. I got my pizza and the delivery dude was great. He was a really nice guy. I just thought he might have gotten lost because the school can be confusing. I have had delivery people get lost before, which is fine. I also felt bad because I ordered at 11:15, and Papa Johns stops delivering at 12. I didn't want to make the guy stay out longer than he needed.

I'm so proud of you traveling and seeing everything that you want to see. There are so many of us that will never have the courage to do it.

You are so sweet!! I love to travel so very much, and I am fortunate that I can do it right now. Even my fear of airplanes hasn't stopped me from going places :)

You're right to feel disappointed and angry, also frustrated by it not being put in writing. If you're comfortable bringing it up to them, it wouldn't hurt because at the very least you'd get some closure on why it didn't happen.

I'd be pissed to. Talk it out with them. Something can be worked out, I'm sure.

It's hard to try talk to them about it because I don't really see them often and I don't want to come across in a negative way. I'm going to see if I can just stop in and drop it in conversation because I at least want a foal

The lack of actual human contact with people I care about lately is just killin' me I guess. As much of a hermit who enjoys their personal time I am, i do crave social interactions if it's with the right people / at the right time. orz
