I am not religious, BUT I SEND YOU ALL GOOD THOUGHTS! To answer your question, my answer is to spend time with her. While it's 30%, if patients have someone that will be there for them, the strength of emotion can carry them through.

That’ll be hard, unfortunately, since going to see her is a 4 hour round trip, and on top of that she’s been completely unresponsive for days.  On the plus side, my cousin and her husband will be visiting every day; my dad will be there until Sunday night; and my sister and another cousin are going to see her tomorrow.  Or later today, I suppose.

For the Myth asks! Anubis, Proserpine, Apollo

Anubis: How do you feel about death? The idea (and inevitability) of my own death frightens me more than anything else in the world.  When it comes to other people dying, it tends to hit me hard but briefly, and then I don't tend to dwell on it much. Pretty sure it's my brain's way of avoiding thinking about, again, my own death.

Proserpine: Have you ever felt trapped? Maybe?  I don't know.  I feel like my anxiety and apathy have combined to trap me in a life I'm not entirely happy with, but I don't actually feel all that trapped by it.  I just feel sort of meh.

 Apollo: Do you play any instruments? Yes I do.  I play the (alto) saxophone, and I can muddle my way through some really simple tunes on piano or xylophone if I do it by ear.  (Also, I'm so glad you picked this one.  Not because of the question itself, but because my nephew's name is Apollo so it makes me happy to have his name on my dash for whatever reason.)

Thank you for the encouragement! I think the only cute thing I own is a dress...BUT THAT MIGHT CHANGE SOON! I hope we get to see more of Bee!

If you buy any cute stuff, you should totally take a pic and let me know, and I will CHEER YOU ON some more, no joke.

And as for more of Bee, seriously, I have SO MANY pictures of her.  Most people draw her waaaay skinnier than she is, which is unfortunate--she's supposed to be chubby and everyone ignores that!--but I have a lot of pics of her. Also a few more reference pics of her outfits.

Also I have several drabbles and ficlets I've written about Bee, some of them featuring her girlfriend Hunter and/or her best friend Dori, but I've never been able to properly write any of the key stuff from her story.  It's all just piling up in my brain, has been for years.  Maybe one day it'll be more agreeable and let me write.

ooooo! a true umbrella lover! i only have two, but one of them is a bright yellow so it helps with the gloominess of rainy days. her clothes are super cute! i kinda wish i had more cute clothes so i could show them off!

I need to buy an umbrella rack or something so I can have them properly displayed/contained/whatever.   

Don't worry, I wish I had more cute clothes too!  My closet contains, like, 50 (admittedly awesome) T-shirts; a handful of nice blouses that I only wear for things like birthdays, weddings, and funerals; two pair of dress slacks that I only wear with the aforementioned nice blouses; five hoodies; and about 7 pairs of jeans. 

Now, cute shoes?  I have a TON of those.  Or at least I think they're cute, which I suppose is all that matters.

Try shopping at discount stores like Ross, or at thrift shops; it's easier to find cute and quirky pieces there, and it's a lot more manageable cost-wise.  Good luck with building up a cute wardrobe!  You can do it!

Thank you!  I'd started feeling kinda weird about her fashion sense because I've had a couple of people turn down commissions of her because "her clothes are too ugly." 

I want that umbrella too!  There's actually a REALLY similar one to it at Target right now (I work there and see it every day!) that I'm considering...  But the Target one isn't quite as cute.

DID YOU KNOW that I love umbrellas and have, I think, 7 of them, even though it only rains a handful of times a year where I live?  My favorite umbrellas are both huge and have ruffles.  One is solid hot-pink, the other is purple with multicolor unicorns on it.  I need to take a picture of it actually.  (My other favorite was small and not ruffly, but the fabric's print was sort of... green gummy bears.  The happiest green gummy bears you've ever seen.)
