The thing is that the manga has the grandpa mention that Ai’s death was 13 years ago and then the narration has the flashback chapter with Ai and Kasukabe with “15 years ago”. I can only explain this inconsistency with the whole 2 year theory thing and Ai being 13 when first meeting Kasukabe but its possible it could be a translation error. It’d be nice if I could find the japanese raws somewhere and translate it myself.

I’m unsure of who neiru2013 is but if they are the one who posted that masterlist of dorohedoro character profiles then I’ve probably seen those... (I’ll go check again though) But thank you for having this conversation with me!! I love talking about Dorohedoro with fellow fans uwu

Hi, just a reply to your dorohedoro post it got me curious, but can you explain a little bit more what you meant because I believe Ai was 15 years old when he first met Dr. Kasukabe But if you mean his persona as being Aikawa then it'd make more sense that he'd be "13 years old".. Since the whole idea of "died and being born again" But I know he's actually supposed to be 30 Sorry if I misunderstood your post!

Uhhh, yeah I don’t think Aikawa is 30 years old. I haven’t seen any other source on what Aikawa’s age should be other than speculation. I personally believe he’s 28 because yeah, he should have met Dr. Kasukabe at 13 and then died at 15. His death was stated to have been 13 years ago by his grandpa too. So if my math is correct, 15 + 13 equals 28.

Unless I’m wrong and it’s officially stated somewhere that he’s 30 then I can just go…. stare into space and think about how much time I wasted coming to the conclusion that he was 28 lol Otherwise this is what I think to be the case.
