It was early. Or late, depending on how you looked at it. Either way, Meadow was exhausted. Saturday nights were always busy, and this one had been no exception. All Meadow wanted was something to eat and then to crawl into her bed. But first, she had to get out of the club. Which was easier said than done when the bar had been slammed all night. Meadow wasn't one to leave her co-workers in a lurch just so that she could leave. Finally, after pouring a bachelorette party a round of cosmos, she made a beeline to the employees-only area to grab her purse.
Spotting her brother, she waved to him. "I am so ready to be done for the night." She glanced at her phone, seeing what time it was. "I want pancakes in the worst way" she added. "We could hit the diner a few blocks over if you want." One of the best things about living in Las Vegas was that twenty-four diners were in abundance. Let the high roller tourists stick to the fancy restaurants with lobster and caviar. Meadow would choose her greasy spoon diners with the best pancakes in town any day instead.
