Dark Knight on a Steel Horse
Despite the crisp a fall air, he road though the streets of Tokyo on his recently customized motorcycle. His mind raced with thoughts of his next job. It was not what he had been expecting as the sound was more in line with music than he was typically commissioned to play but he would soon be assisting the artist with writing their album in a few weeks and he enjoyed a challenge.
Due to the slow traffic he was able to take in his surroundings, momentarily considering whether he wanted to attempt having dinner in the crowded city or returning to his hotel room to order food. On the one hand, it would be nice to have hot food prepared for him at time of order but he was unsure of how much he might actually get to eat if he were spotted before he could sit down. Fame certainly had it’s draw backs.
It was the sight of an all to familiar sight that pulled him away from his racing mind. A foreigner was stuck on the sidewalk surrounded on all sides by girls cooing at him as they often did the lead singer of Ju-ken’s previous band and less often himself. Ordinarily he would have stayed out of it but the man looked uncomfortable, and Ju-ken was well aware of how out of hand the situation could soon become as many people would be getting of of work within minutes.
Despite his better judgement or maybe because of it he pulled up to the curb and gestured for the man to hop on before shouting. “Hyde,” his former lead singer’s name and point in a general direction. Was it underhanded and devious? Perhaps, but it was the only way he knew to give the foreigner the space to make his decision. Either he would take the risk and join the Ju-ken on his motorcycle or he would be stuck there on the sidewalk for another few hours. Either way, Ju-ken had a clear path to escape.
