Cox Internet Speeds
I have never gotten anywhere near what I’m paying for in down load speeds from Cox Cable. I’m paying for 50 mps DL, and I’m lucky to get 5-7, as measured by the Cox My Account ‘Speed Test’. So I’m in a chat with a tech last night and I tell him this fact, to which he responds, ‘I’ve checked your equipment, and you can be getting up to 62.5 mps, which is good for you since you are paying for 50.’ To which I type, ‘Holy Crap! I’ve never gotten near that much!’
Anyone else experiencing this kind of disconnect with potential DL speeds and reality? I’m really frustrated, but I’d hate to pay for a tech to come out to the house of there is something simple I can do. So open to any suggestions. He suggested deleting cookies and clearing cache, but I’m using a brand new computer and I can’t imagine that has a lot to do with it, right?
