he absolutely wasn’t asking because he was hoping that the answer was you. that would be so fucking ridiculous there weren’t words... kit wasn’t nate’s type -- at all -- and never would be. he would just have to accept that.
“no way he’s passing this up,” kit disagreed. he didn’t even know why he’d bother disagreeing. everyone knew nathan keyes better than kit knew nathan keyes... these guys had been living with nate for much longer, had witnessed his dating habits and his flirting habits and his friendship habits. all of that.
but for some reason, it was important to kit to be right about this. he wanted to see nate in action with a girl that he was into. kit realized that he wanted a comparison, and he wished that he didn’t. but there was nothing he could do about it except stand back and see what happened next.
nathan keyes was straight -- as in not interested in kit at all. he’d said so, and kit wanted to take the man at his word. but kit’s stupid heart was demanding something else. something he could see and hold onto. something he could use to help pad those walls around his heart with.
because he couldn’t let nate in. it wasn’t an option.
complement -- babble. blush -- touching. more blushing -- more touching. butterflies, actual flying, swarming, spinning, spazzing butterflies.
fucking problem.
