I am so incredibly NORMAL about jimmy “kicked out of the horn club, but still blows his horn” solidarity and tango “spent half an hour getting a horn for his soulmate and responds to his lone signal” tek being the only two having the same horn that they got together, both of which are meant to be a reply to a call that refuses to acknowledge them, so they will acknowledge each other, and jimmy blowing his horn in victory and hearing nobody else’s but tango and going “there’s tango!” and tango who responded going “there’s my buddy, he’s coming home”, and tango calming down from his rage to respond to jimmy’s horn call because it’s jimmy and no one else respond, so he’s gotta respond, and its the two of them finding each other in death and jimmy praising tango’s building, and tango praising jimmy’s cows, and its the two standing together agreeing that they may need to beg but it’s ok “because i have you” and its about them supporting each other, despite jimmy being an omen of death, despite tango being an all consuming inferno, and its about team ranchers, about the canary and the coal mine, about two guys who are so incredibly poor and riddled in misfortune, but they are happy anyways, and i just want them to win, and i know they probably won’t, but it won’t stop me from hoping anyway.
