DLVRNC - Wet Trip
One of my favorite Aussie tracks this year. Detached and subdued vocals against a minimal, foreboding backdrop. Subtly menacing. It’s from their demo, which has gone mostly unnoticed on bandcamp all year. The band features members of Cuntz, Dribble, Pregnancy Scares, and Steve Adamyk Band. They utilize a wide array of influences, from dub to minimal synth to post-punk to electro. I will say that the album clearly needs to be mastered (although I took it upon myself to do so with the song above).
