And then he can’t stop himself from screaming at Haga and trying to find out where Yugi is. Even though he knows there’s no way that Haga can actually answer him anymore, he just can’t accept that. ;_;
Also I didn’t screencap it, but Anzu points out that the entire reason why Haga even made that promise to start with was because he knew there was no way he’d be able to fulfill it if he lost. So basically he had no intention of ever actually telling Yami the truth either way and was once again just doing it solely to be an asshole.
It’s a good thing that Anzu grabbed him like she did because he’s so caught up in what he’s doing that he might have lashed out at her without really meaning to otherwise. And he’s still breathing so hard before finally calming down a bit. :( Also it’s a good thing she stopped him before he discarded his girlfriend again...
Poor Anzu though... It must have been a rather horrifying thing for her to watch as she’s never seen him go off on anyone that badly before. But she mainly seems to be hurting for him and worried about how this is going to affect his mental and emotional stability. So am I. ;_;
I was trying to think of how to do this part and finally decided on video because his voice is what just gets to me the most here. Also Anzu’s reaction is pretty heartbreaking too. She’s crying because she believed that he just killed Yugi too, that her chance for ever seeing him again was gone. ;o;

I don’t believe for even a second that this is just the influence of the Orichalcos making him do something like this. This is the same kid who pretended to be nice to Yugi just so he could throw his Exodia cards into the ocean. He would have done this exact same thing even if this wasn’t an Orichalcos duel and there’s nothing you can say to convince me otherwise.
