meet dr dmitri daskalov! he’s a former army surgeon who was dying in battle when a passing witch took pity on him and healed him. even though he looks to be in his late twenties, he’s now a century or two old and for the whole time has been determined to save everyone that he possibly could. he’s both disillusioned by human nature and hopeful in the future of science (and magic) in improving lives. he’s good friends with the traveling doctor witch, even if neither of them will admit it. as time passes, he becomes more and more desperate to try everything to save human lives.
