hello , everyone ! it’s been a little over a week since we first hit the tags , and just under since we did our first round of acceptances — and we’ve had some really helpful asks since then . this is basically a “ what we’ve learned ” post , with some links to the asks / posts !
1. ) lila pitts , not knowing the timeline had shifted , thinks she’s been dropping people off to the umbrella academy ( here ) , but instead has been leaving untrained 29 ( nearly 30 ) year olds off on the sparrows’ doorstep for the last month ( here & here ) . of course she didn’t force them to come with her , just gave them the option ( here ) and left it up to them .
2. ) those 29 untrained 29-year-olds and the umbrella academy are now left to fend for themselves and find a place to stay , because reginald is awful and isn’t opening the academy to them ( here ) .
3. ) the umbrella academy has / will soon realise that their actions erased grace ( well , grace’s robot counterpart ) from the sparrow’s timeline , as reginald was far too wounded by their break-up to create her the way he had before ( here ) . will they ever see her again ? that’s a whole other story .
4. ) most members of the commission think this timeline is the correct timeline . herb ( and the board of directors , once they’re reformed ) and the few people he’s decided to tell are the only ones that know the timeline is wrong ! the others might notice little inconsistencies , but they don’t really know the umbrella academy made a mess ( here & here ) ( p.s. we ask that if you want your commission character to know the timeline is wrong you come chat with us ! <3 )
5. ) and of course ! we’ve learned that gustave eiffel is at it again , making a mess of things in paris and likely trying to launch that spaceship of his ( here ) .
