   At first, she thought they were just another Tashmore Bay junkie, but upon further inspection, she realized that was indeed not the case. She kneels beside the unconscious stranger, scanning their body from head to toe. After taking a glance over her shoulder, nimble digits slide into his front pocket. When he stirs, she promptly jumps to her feet and clears her throat. “Y-You alright, man?” The inquiry sounds ingenuine.

eyes ache / briefly she shuts them. the small reprieve that she allows herself. staring at crime scene photos and reading details about it were doing her no good. isn’t it rough ? to feel stumped about a case already. it was barely two days in and the killer was off on their spree, the chances of being caught getting slimmer by the second.
