i do agree that there's probably a disproportionate response, but tbh loads of ppl on my dash went nuts over the SU wedding, even ppl who hadn't watched it in a while. so i've def seen it happening.

i have seen exactly zero peopel say "i'm going to pick up SU again" even after expressing excitement over the wedding and i have seen at least a dozen people say they will pick up voltron again/start watching voltron for the first time because of a broken up engagement that happened in a one episode flashback... that's pretty blatant
