still think i am incredibly big brained for making my tiefling monk oc trans and having his name (solace) be a combo virtue name and chosen name to honor the peace and purpose he found in his monastery where he doesn't have to hide any aspects of his identity

i love having ocs bc i can just say whatever i want about them and that's canon bc they're mine and i made them. i just up and decided the other night that solace has a bad habit of eating very quickly, especially when he's feeling nervous or threatened, just because i thought the idea of him sitting all dressed up at this fancy and important sun elven dinner we were at in our campaign listening to his crush try to do extremely sensitive diplomatic relations and just trying SO hard to slow the fuck down and eat at a normal pace is the funniest thing ever

definitely proud of how my art has been improving lately so here’s my latest solace, my beautiful baby boy whomst i would die for in a heartbeat even though he would never let me, vs. the first time i ever drew him two years ago

the only piece of solace lore that anyone needs to know is that he has to sleep on beds backwards because his horns are too long for him to lay with his head next to the wall/headboard and there is a non zero amount of people who have walked by his bed in the dark without remembering or realizing that and run right into those fuckers and nobody is ever happy about it

solace would LOVE orville peck but i didn't want to slap all of pony on the solace jams playlist so i only put in nothing fades like the light because it's one of those songs that he would listen to when he's already sad to make himself sadder for no reason

human solace thots:

guidance counselor at his local high school and sponsor of their gsa

wanted to be a history teacher but decided he was better as a counselor than a teacher

went grey in his 20s, uses way too much of that purple shampoo for old ladies on purpose so that it turns his hair lilac

needs reading glasses and keeps them clipped to his collar all the time so he doesn't forget them somewhere

entire wardrobe consists of dark wash jeans, funky patterned button ups, tshirts with uncle jokes on them (ONLY worn when going somewhere with lilith and toki), and one nice suit for when he has to dress up

keeps fidget toys in his pockets (for himself) and on his desk (for his students)

lives alone and would like a boyfriend/husband but isn't actively looking for one, whenever it happens it'll happen

has an astoundingly stupid orange tabby named banana who is his whole world
