Ezekiel Uzoma, my paladin from Hell, my curse of Strahd Character.
If angels can fall, why can't a mortal man ascend?
It was this phrase that inspired me to create Ezekiel. Here is some lore:
Ezekiel Uzoma was a great general in life, but a cruel and evil man. After being betrayed by one of his own and eliminated, he was condemned to spend eternity having his soul tortured in Hell. Usually, people would go mad and lose sight of who they were in the first century, but Ezekiel possessed such extraordinary willpower that he was able to remain focused. He hated the devils who tortured him so much that he gathered enough strength to cry out. He cried out to every god he could think of, begging for redemption and a second chance. Initially ignored, over time the gods of vengeance and redemption brought him back as a gamble; a test to see if one of the worst mortals ever could follow the path of good. He has arrived on the material plane today with the goal of saving lives and abandoning the path of evil. But will he succeed?
character sheet and icon for my newest osteomancer oc 😎 we'll be playing through the steinhardt's guide this sunday so I figured I'd prepare
hopefully I'll have time to draw her more after comms, I wanna show off her lore but it's too unpolished atm
essentially her character concept is "I don't know if I want to be her or be with her" but eldritch horror and doomed yuri
caelis (the person inside the body) is a demidritch who works with selene (the owner of the body you're seeing rn) as her apprentice. they practice medicine, but most importantly, they work to push the boundaries of osteomancy.
their experiments lead to an accident which ends in selene's soul being assimilated into the Great Beyond and her body was left hollow at the scene of the crime. caelis' body is reduced into a sentient pile of flesh and eyes, and she takes this opportunity to crawl inside selene's body and take her identity.
she spends the next few months dedicating herself to perfecting her role and it turns into an obsession. she spends so much time reliving memories of selene that the jealousy she's been directing towards her their entire partnership start shifting into love.
but selene is gone, and caelis feels this is the only way she can show her love. (it isn't. this is motivated purely by her own selfishness and her inability to be satisfied with her own self image. hallelujah)
caelis makes the decision to 100% commit herself to the bit ™️ and become selene. no matter the cost.
