Tethren and Temerity's whole thing is really important to me actually. So similar they can communicate through eye contact. So different they cant communicate at all. In my heart of hearts I know Karai and Madied both smoke weed. I dont know how drugs work but Karai and Madied are gen z coded to me I know what they are.

They only smoke when Temerity's not around because she's sober and a hardass about it. So obviously as soon as Madied and Karai get off work after Temerity goes out of town they are getting fucking stoned.

Someday Keralie is gonna catch Madied stoned on the job and hes gonna have to hard-core bribe her not to tattle to Temerity. I think she'd be down to smoke with them but being inebriated reminds her of a low point so she doesn’t partake.

Enrick finds out they smoke and gets them to let him join them one time but hes really annoying high (like more than usual) so they ban him.

Tethren is not allowed to do substances without Amelia supervision or they would probably invite him.

Aurora is chill asfffff high shes great but also she only does fey shit and its hard to get on the material plane so it doesnt happen very often.

One day Temerity will smoke with them and it will be on the tail end of her recovery from being extremely mentally unwell and it will be a beautiful moment. She's gonna feel relaxed for the first time in her goddamn life.

Karai is gonna listen to her laugh the way she did when they were kids and she didn't act like the weight of the world is on her shoulders. Shes gonna burst into giggles and collapse onto Madied, laughing so hard shes doing that silent shaking laugh thing people do and its gonna make her tear up okay.

Madied is gonna notice how touchy she is as soon as she loosens up. Immediately clinging to him and putting her arm around her shoulder. Randomly reaching out and hugging Karai soooo hard when she walks over after leaving to grab snacks or something. Just being obnoxiously clingy and it also just sends him back to when they were kids and she would grab them and hug them or wrestle him into cuddles or some stupid shit she would do.
