DIRECTORY UPDATE
We have moved...
certain Wammy's students who have been mentioned in the Death Note franchise, including spinoffs, from the OC listing. Listing in the 'Canon' section of the Directory confirms their presence in some aspect of the Death Note Universe to be canon, not the characterizations of their individual roleplayers. In that sense, save for Beyond Birthday or Kimiko Kujo (K), they are largely similar to OC's.

There is a new...
Promo Policy being instated. We're here to connect the Death Note fandom and help generate activity. We serve a large community, so don't be afraid to use that! If you're having trouble gaining followers, partners, or friends, go ahead and submit a self-promotion to us. We'll be filtering them in throughout the week so as not to flood anyone, and tagging them with #dndpromo. We only ask that you keep it tasteful; it's an experimental feature bound to change over time.

that adding a brief description of your blog when you request inclusion in the Directory makes the mod's jobs a whole lot easier. If you are an OC, AU, or non-rp blog, clarification is especially useful.
You're always welcome to offer suggestions, ask questions, direct us to blogs we've missed, or direct blogs to us for help.

We've been getting a lot of traffic here at the directory, so the mods will be making an effort from here on out to be more active. We're here to serve tumblr for the purposes of Death Note, so please feel free to send in any suggestions or requests concerning ideas on keeping the deathnotedirectory a continuous go-to resource for the fandom. That may include hosting events, offering rp advice, anime trivia, fanart/fanfic recs, or anything else you might be interested in.
On that Note, we couldn't keep this blog running without you guys directing new death note blogs, rp or otherwise to us, and letting us know when we have lacking or outdated information. Don't be shy! This is for you!
