I’m going to be entirely honest with yall, my oc’s designs have not changed since their creation. they got. more meat on their bones. that’s about it
flag descriptions for dnwtc kingdoms
Valoryn: A flag of 3 evenly divided horizontal stripes. The top one a deep red, the middle a light baby blue and the bottom a matching deep red from the top. In the middle stripe there is a small horizontal gray dagger with a black cross guard. The top stripe represents previous war, the middle represents peace, and the bottom represents war to come. The dagger represents military protection/presence, even in times of peace.
Metallum: A flag of 3 evenly divided vertical stripes. The left one a dark red, the middle black, and the right one a dark blue. There is a yellow sun half risen above the bottom of the flag. The red stripe represents Ulysses, the middle represents Argos, and the blue represents Gorgo. The sun represents Ulysses once more, specifically his power over the sun and the belief that he brings a new day due to the worship of him.
Sylvan Serenity: A soild baby pink flag with two basil leaves in the center. The basil leaves mean “good wishes” and is there to represent that Sylvan Serenity is a place for all and that whether they choose to leave or stay, they have Sylvan Serenity’s best wishes.
Sirenveil: The most complicated flag. It has a soild navy background, save for a green horizontal stripe at the bottom. There is a small drawing of a simple sheep on the green stripe along with a simple drawing of a Bubu fish trap next to it. The navy part represents the sea and the sky, the green stripe represents greenery and harvesting. The sheep and fishtrap represent the main resources in Sirenveil and both are extremely important to their culture. The flag was originally a drawing made by a king’s daughter, which he then made into the official flag because he believed his daughter’s craftsmanship captured what it meant to be a Sirenveil citizen.
Lunaris Vale: A purple flag with a white waning crescent moon in the middle. In the top right there are also 3 six point stars arranged in a triangle shape. The purple and the moon represent the nocturnal nature of the people in this kingdom. The stars represent the 3 times a leader was killed from a violent act and the six points represent the six day grieving period.
There is also a flag for all of the kingdoms combined known as the unity flag. It is five vertical stripes, from left to right they are; dark red, yellow, green, navy blue, and purple. There is a thin horizontal white stripe in the middle to represent unity. The colors (in order from left to right) represent Valoryn, Metallum, Sylvan Serenity, Sirenveil, and Lunaris Vale.
maybe I’ll do flag laws and traditions next
