I don’t think that you understood what I was saying. Flamesatgames owns the Disbelief AU so whatever he says goes and he said that there are only four phases and how there will never be more than four and NO ONE can change that except for him.

No I do understand what you’re saying. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, the more rabid parts of the fanbase really don’t care who owns what and will proclaim their headcanon to be canon… rather insistently. The Storyshift creator absolutely hates what the fandom has done with that particular AU apparently, but apparently the actual creator of the AU has less say over it than some rando on the internet.

All I was doing with the original poster was showing another example of how the AU fanbase can get really silly and not self-aware

I saw your post about someone asking for “Disbelief: Phase 5”. Canonicaly to the AU, there isn’t a phase 5 but fans made one for some reason.

People are sending me requests to make fun of other Undertale AUs that they think are terrible but like, not only is the joke done, but that’s not really my goal? I don’t LIKE AUs in general (no, not even that one. Or that one. I’ll save you the time and say outright that I don’t like AUs that aren’t outright jokes) but the Underfell and Underswap videos were just to show that they would be terrible concepts for musicals (which were frequent comments back in the day). The Disbelief one was kind of a When’s Megalovania vid. People are allowed to like what they like, whether or not you think a particular AU is “shitty” or not, I was just making jokes because it was the Month of Shenanigans. The rule of AUs and your opinions on them remains the same - like what you like but don’t shove it down other peoples’ throats, that’s a surefire way to get people irritated.
